About Me

Hi! It's nice to meet you. My name is Amy Nansteel and I have been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant  (IBCLC) for the past 13 years. I have worked in many different settings including private practice, hospital-based care, remote services and working with families in the WIC clinic. This variety of environments has lent me the ability to understand and work with babies and families at all stages of life, from fragile NICU babies to toddlers who don't want to wean!  I have four children ages 9, 13, 15, and 17 who I breastfed over the course of nearly 10 years combined, through LOTS of ups and downs. My passion is meeting moms where they are at, without judgement, to help them meet their breastfeeding goals. My husband and I love to travel and have taken our family all over the world to places such as South Africa, Thailand, Morocco, Europe, Costa Rica, and all 50 states! When I am not working or traveling you can find me in my backyard, loving on my chickens, bunnies, cats and dogs!
